I wouldn't use either when "monking" as I use a large number of weapons, none of which being those 2. When in 55hp builds though, FFS wins, as energy is easy to come by, and the 5 energy from HoD is totally useless. The FFS 10% can make it easier to do certain things, ie. when SB gets recharged just as it ends, you don't have to run around to avoid meteor showers (in the case of the Ice King quest.) I have it paired with a -20hp with 10% global recharge, giving me a ~19% chance to increase recharge.

HoD swords are over-priced, and not brilliant.

FFS are massively over-priced, but damn usefull.

how are fiery flame spitters over-priced? You can trade a collector scorched loadstones to get one (unless they removed it without my knowledge). The 20% enchant mod might be the only thing that makes it decently expensive...but even then, it doesn't compare to the HoD sword price.

I wield my HoD everywhere, its a pure status item, I rather have my status item then 10% recharge!!

JR: "FFS are massively over-priced, but damn usefull." You are mistaken I think... the FFS is VERY cheep like 20g maybe.

I'm sure he is talking about the 15% recharge FFS which is not only much more expensive then the HoD sword but very hard to find.

Sword was from a quest. Not sure what the name was. HoD sword gives you five energy.

You are right. Cost about 3k to make including mats at the time... Those were good times.

And I prefer an Insightful PVP Staff of Fortitude/Enchanting personally...
